I never bothered to pay attention to any other gel liners because I always gravitated towards my Nars Eye Paint. Recently, I ran out of both pots so I received this Waterproof Creme Colour by Anastasia Beverly Hills. Given the brands reputable status, I expected nothing less than perfect. This cream colour claims to be smudge/crease proof and waterproof. It can be used underneath eye shadow and for eye liner. When I opened the pot, it looked creamy, smooth and buttery-but unfortunately I found it quite hard to work with and it was quite dry on my lids! I was shocked, because, well....it's one of my favourite brands and their quality is astonishing. Although it was rather drier than expected, after some playing around with, the liner was able to glide across my eyelids very well and set quickly to a matte black finish. I suppose the slight dryness was so it could stay on your skin FOREVER.
I put this liner to the test and wore it for over twelve hours-and the results were outstanding. It is in fact water-proof, smudge-proof and crease-proof.
The eye liner pot is the same size as their Dipbrow Pomade. |
You really need an outstanding makeup remover for this product, it's extremely hard to remove unless your makeup remover is oil based. |
If you don't believe that it's water-proof...
It is!
Here's the Creme Colour used as eyeliner:
So, is it worth buying? If you have oily lids that tend to make your eyes look like a panda after a few hours-YES. It'll only be difficult if your skin is extremely dry. Sorry, ABH-My Nars eye paint is still my holy grail!
